What Roost tracks for you

Every item in your vault can carry a renewal date. These are the most common ones.

MOT reminder

Never miss your MOT date. Roost flags it weeks ahead, not the day after it expired.

Car insurance renewal

Know your renewal date, policy number and current insurer, ready to shop around without hunting.

Home insurance renewal

Buildings, contents or combined: renewal date and cover details stored together.

Passport expiry

Many countries require 6 months validity. Know exactly when yours runs out.

Warranty tracker

Store the warranty end date for every appliance. Know before you call an engineer whether it's still covered.

Subscription renewals

Annual subscriptions are easy to forget. Roost surfaces them before the money leaves your account.

Passport validity rules vary by destination. Check the entry requirements for the country you are visiting in the gov.uk foreign travel advice.

Four reminders, not one

Roost reminds you at 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before a renewal, by push notification, so nothing lapses quietly.

Thirty days out is when there's still time to shop around. One day out is the safety net for the ones you meant to sort and didn't.

A running monthly total

The Renewals screen carries a running monthly total across everything you hold: insurance, subscriptions, memberships, road tax. That total is the number most people are surprised by, because it arrives in pieces across the year and nobody keeps a proper tally of it.

When renewals are coming up, Roost reads what they cost and suggests two or three specific ways to save, most expensive first. Drawn from your actual renewals, not generic tips. It's optional, and you decide what to act on.

More about what Roost does with your own data

Renewal reminder and emergency info in one place

Every vault item stores the renewal date alongside the full record: policy number, contact number, cover details, and the If X happens emergency section. You don't just get reminded. You have everything you need when the renewal comes up.

Share with your household so either person can act on a renewal reminder, not just the one who remembers where everything is.

Common questions

Is there a free MOT reminder app?

Roost includes MOT reminders as part of its free vehicle vault. Add your car's MOT date and Roost flags it before it lapses, alongside your insurance renewal, service history and breakdown cover details. Free for up to 10 items per section.

How do I set an insurance renewal reminder?

Add your insurance policy to Roost's vault with the renewal date. Roost will surface it on your home screen as the date approaches, alongside your policy number and insurer contact details, so you're ready to renew or shop around.

What is a warranty tracker app?

A warranty tracker stores the warranty expiry dates and support contacts for your home appliances and electronics. Roost includes this as part of the Vault, so your boiler, washing machine, oven and other appliances all have their own records with warranty end dates and engineer contacts.
