Fifty items free. Forever.

Ten items in each of the five sections, no card, no time limit, and your household included from day one. If you outgrow it, Pro is £49.99 a year per person, about £4.17 a month. A two-person household that has outgrown the free plan pays £49.98 a year, less than one takeaway.

One thing worth knowing

Items your household shares with you count towards your own ten. An active household reaches the limit sooner, and each person needs their own Pro to keep adding. We would rather tell you that here than in a footnote.

Questions before you start? There is live chat in the app and on this site. A real person replies, usually the person who built Roost.

Roost pricing: the household admin app on an organised desk at home

Roost pricing starts free and scales with your household. No hidden fees.

Who is the free plan for?

The free plan suits most households getting started. If you are recording your insurance details, setting up renewal reminders, or creating a shared list with a partner, the free plan handles all of that.

Who is Pro for?

Pro is worth it if you are a thorough record-keeper, with multiple vehicles, several insurance policies, a long list of warranties, multiple recurring routines, or a large shared shopping list. It is also the answer for an active household, because each person needs their own Pro to keep adding once shared items have filled the free allowance. At £5.99/month or £49.99/year, it costs less than most household subscriptions and removes every item limit. You can also manage your subscription through Apple's App Store.

Roost pricing: common questions

Is Roost pricing free?

Yes. Roost has a permanent free plan with up to 10 items per section across all five sections: Vault, Tasks, Lists, Notes and Routines. No credit card required. It is free forever, not a trial.

What does Roost Pro include?

Pro removes the 10 item per section limit, so you get unlimited items across all five sections. It also lifts Ask Roost from 5 questions to 50 a month. Pro is £5.99/month or £49.99/year.

Can I cancel Roost Pro at any time?

Yes. Cancel any time from your account settings or directly through Apple's App Store subscription management. Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Does Roost Pro include household sharing?

Household sharing is included in both Free and Pro plans. One person invites a partner or housemate, and both people see the same vault, lists and routines. Inviting, viewing and editing are always free.

How many Ask Roost questions do I get?

The free plan includes 5 questions so you can see what it does with your own data. Pro includes 50 a month, which resets on the 1st. Ask Roost reads your own renewals, tasks and routines to answer, and it is the one part of Roost that costs us money every time it is used, which is why it is the only thing counted rather than simply capped by item.

What is the Roost Pro annual price?

Roost Pro annual costs £49.99 per year, equivalent to around £4.17 per month and a 30% saving compared to the monthly plan at £5.99. Billing is handled through Apple's App Store.

Is there a free trial for Roost Pro?

The free plan is not a trial. It is a permanent free tier you can use forever. There is no time-limited Pro trial, but you can try everything Roost offers (Vault, Tasks, Lists, Notes, Routines, plus renewals and sharing) on the free plan within the 10 items per section limit.
